The International Bioenergy Days 2008 event has deep and highly-valued roots in Sweden, a small Nordic country that leads the world across the board in bio-energy and renewable energy research, development, and innovation. In Sweden, bio-energy derived from the earth and from plant residues already today make up approximately one quarter of all energy produced in the country, that is, four times more than the average for the countries of the European Union.

U.S. Ambassador to Sweden Michael M. Wood was the keynote speaker at the Swedish - American Chamber of Commerce’s Entrepreneurial Days in Växjö in 2007

Sweden’s advanced research and technology has not gone lost on the United States, where new business and alternative energy options are becoming ever more popular. In the few years since Michael M. Wood, the U.S. Ambassador to Sweden, the U.S. Department of Energy, and Silicon Valley venture capital firms began concentrating on high-value Swedish green-energy companies and know-how, much has happened. So much so that Sweden has been in the process of preparing and hosting yet another of the world’s largest bio-energy forums, the second World Bioenergy 2008, in Jonköping, Sweden in May of this year.
For those in the United States unable to travel to Sweden, however, and for those Swedish entrepreneurs and companies truly wanting to learn more about partnering within and directly accessing the U.S. bio-energy market, there is only one conference that will bring together the best of all worlds in a most unique way:
International Bioenergy Days 2008
From September 28 – October 3, 2008 the world will turn its eyes on and meet in Minnesota, the one U.S. state that has taken a leadership role in green-related education, policy, and production. In Minneapolis/St. Paul and Mankato, Minnesota the world will meet this fall to address the next generations of technology in numerous areas of “biomass”, “renewable alternatives”, and “bio-energy in construction”.
Those attending will learn from the world’s leading bio-energy experts and researchers and have the opportunity to look at and see how these technologies are already being implemented in Swedish-made products, all of which are ready for a U.S. market ripe for growth – and many of which will be able to be viewed in working order by visitors at the conference.
The time is right…. The technology is right….
Join the world at International Bioenergy Days 2008!
